Reading Corner

These were just an excuse to mention important and/or beautifully written books, and to imagine interiors in which I’d like to live. I wanted to illustrate people who are interested in reading about different lived experiences than their own, as I think that’s how you develop empathy. So they’re all reading a book written by someone with a different skin colour (or religion) to them. Because as we all know—but I'll write it anyway in case someone forgot—in the Western world life is experienced differently based on your skin colour, thanks to white supremacy. Well not really “thanks”, but you know what I mean.

The illustrations are now available to buy as prints on my shop.
